The aim of the Teacher Training Course is to give the participants a thorough understanding of the Satyananda Yoga System not just in theory but also in a practical way, which is one of the strengths of the Satyananda System. You will learn from the traditional way, adhering to tried and trusted methods, but also with a modern approach that is required by the authorities now.
The teacher training courses are residential and are held in Tober Na Bhfinn. It is a 2 year course that leads to an international recognition and is certified by the Satyananda Yoga System and by the British Wheel of Yoga.

During the 2 years you will each year attend 10 weekends and a 2 week summer course. This is fully residential to enable the participants to embody and experience the power of yoga at a deep level. So that you not only become a good competent yoga teacher, but through first hand experience of the different techniques, also become an experienced yogi. The subjects covered are:
- The practical techniques of yoga: Asanas, Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra, Shat Karma's, Yoga Nidra, Selected Meditation Techniques.
